Dive into the magic of watercolor in this hands-on, confidence-building workshop! Whether you’re brand new to the medium or ready to loosen up and expand your skills, you’ll explore watercolor’s versatility through clear, step-by-step instruction.
We’ll cover essential techniques—washes, glazing, wet-on-wet, and playful special effects—while getting to know the materials and what watercolor really loves to do. Each session blends guided practice and skill-building exercises with time to apply what you’ve learned, working from simple still-life setups and photographs.
All materials are provided (just bring your own paper), along with curiosity, experimentation, and a willingness to let the paint surprise you.

  • Class will be held at my studio at McGuffey Art Center, in the Red Shed. Parking passes will be provided for McGuffey's  visitor lot.

Refund Policy: We understand that sometimes circumstances and you may need to cancel your enrollment in our classes. If you decide to cancel before the classes begin, we will provide you with a full refund minus a $25 service charge. However, if you cancel after the first class, the refund will be reduced by $50. Please note that we cannot provide refunds after the second class has taken place.
